Wrapping Paper Art II

Artwork:

Apologies for the late post this week - we've had some technical issues with Blogger.

I’m trying to finish off my bathroom at the moment, and I hope to be able to show you my progress next week! So this week (in an effort to get everything done for the bathroom) I finished off some simple art for the bathroom wall.

This is another version of my original Wrapping Paper Art and I just love how simple this is... not to mention what an impact it can make.

This art cost me less than $2 in total as I only had to buy the wrapping paper and I already had a spare frame.

I simply cut the paper to size and taped it down inside the matt.

It’s the easiest art you will ever do and its so cheap to change whenever you tire of it.

I hope you are enjoying your weekend!

Simple Valentine's Day Art for the Home

Artwork:

Happy Valentine's Day! I love Valentine's Day - all the pretty gifts in the stores, hearts everywhere and obviously the possibility I might get a Valentine's from a secret admirer!

This week I have made some really simple Valentine's art for my home. First the cross stitch heart print.

I made this on a simple Word program using Helvica font in size 64. It took all of 2 minutes to make the heart print and then I just played around with the colours until I got a combination I loved.

I just printed it out on a colour printer and popped it into a frame I already had - apologies for the photo - (you can see my image in the reflection on the glass).

For the second one, you might remember last year I played around with freezer paper printing - see here..... anyway, ever since I made the cute little gold heart I had been debating what I should do with it.

I simply popped it into a frame and it was done!

I also realised I've done quite a few other Valentine's Day inspired posts - I think my favourite is the little heart brooch. It's just so so sweet.

Hope you have a wonderful Valentine's Day.
